I have spent a majority of my career coaching and developing senior leaders to achieve their career and business goals. However, what I love to do is to partner with women to support them as they gain clarity on their innate strengths, define their core desired feelings and identify the limiting beliefs holding them back. I have a special place in my heart for working Mom’s, women who are dealing with infertility and women who carry extra weight as a way to numb out their feelings.

Q: What are your Core Desired Feelings?

Q: How / where did you Desire Map? What did you love about doing it that way?
I did the Desire Map in small bits over time. I listened to the audio book on drives and read the book when I had downtime. I loved how it can be done anywhere and in multiple ways. I found that talking about my learnings and ah ha’s along the way was a big part of the benefit of doing the process. It not only helped me get clearer, it also connected me to those I shared it with on a much deeper level. The process itself was an experience of my core desired feelings.
Q: Tell me a specific story about how knowing your CDFs has changed your life.
After 20+ years of career advancement in a male engineer-dominated Silicon Valley high-tech company, I became one of a handful of female Executives. In parallel, my husband and I had been navigating first-time parenthood in our mid 40’s after a very trying 6-year infertility journey. I had everything that I had yearned for and worked so hard for. Yet I could not understand why I was angry, tired, overwhelmed, lonely, and extremely overweight. I was becoming less and less effective in my job, and, more importantly in my life despite all the hard work.
I needed to reboot my life and took a leave of absence. It was a humbling, scary, uncertain time requiring a huge leap of faith. Through rest, meditation, therapy, self-development courses, and a deep dive into Desire Mapping I became clear that I was out of alignment with my core desired feelings. I wasn't being honest with myself for that matter. I had been eating my discomfort, losing the battle with anxiety, and was barely plugging along.
My core desired feelings are now guideposts for living. Self-care & honesty about the negative feelings I was avoiding has radically changed my life. I am 80 pounds lighter. My relationships are stronger. I am more present at work & at home. It has been life changing not only for me but for my family. I am so blessed to have had this breakthrough that I became a licensed facilitator. I am honored to be of service to women and their families.
Q: Why are you passionate about sharing this work with others?
Getting clear on my Core Desired Feelings has absolutely changed the way I live my life. Desire Mapping helps you accentuate the positive aspects of your life while still honoring, and not invalidating, the negative parts that you want to change. Knowing how you want to feel is an essential part of goal setting. Being aware of your "why" helps with boundaries and time management.
