When you've had enough of living a life that stresses you out more than it puts a smile on your face, it's time to do something about it.
That's the conclusion I reached almost ten years ago. After hitting burnout, I switched gears from a corporate government career to natural therapies, first of all to get myself well, and then to learn how to help others.
These days I work with women to help them get their life back. The life they WANT to live and gets them excited to wake up everyday. A life that helps them feel connected to their 'real self' without the stress of keeping up fake appearances and pretending to be happy (when they're not!).
Learning to be you (again) is a step by step self-paced process. In clinic, I work with clients individually using kinesiology and massage to get results. The Desire Map provides a framework that dovetails beautifully with clinic work, or can be worked through alone or within a workshop. Imagine hanging out with a room full of people going through exactly the same thing as you! (And you thought you were the only one, didn’t you?)

Q: What are your Core Desired Feelings?
Affluent. Whole. Energised. Open-hearted. Connected to spirit.
Q: How / where did you Desire Map? What did you love about doing it that way?
I Desire Map every year between Christmas and New Years' Day. It's a hazy time of year when life seems suspended in time and the world doesn't seem to know whether it's coming or going, so it just hangs out in space. For me, this is the perfect time to sweep out old cobwebs and add sparkle to my dreams while the swirl of Christmas is still settling and the New Year is still around the corner. That way when I welcome in the New Year, I know exactly what I'm wishing and raising a glass to!
Q: Tell me a specific story about how knowing your CDFs has changed your life.
I used to put pressure on myself to achieve goals, just so I knew I was making progress and mentally ticking achievements off my list.
Now I know my CDFs, the pressure is off. But instead of realising my fear of never getting anything done if I didn't have that pressure, I am now kicking goals I never thought possible. I am clear on what I want and am emotionally-connected to the outcome through my CDFs. This not only gives me drive to succeed, but also means I enjoy the journey because every moment I'm working on that goal or target I'm experiencing my Core Desired Feelings.
Last year, I completed an Advanced Diploma in half the allocated time! This year I have written a book that is currently being edited (who me??)! What's next?
Q: Why are you passionate about sharing this work with others?
The first step in living the life you want is getting to know yourself again, and that starts with self-awareness. The Desire Map helps with gaining this self-awareness through new knowledge and practical activities that can be applied to everyday life immediately.
I'm all for helping people to be self-sufficient, and to get to know themselves so they can better help and heal themselves. What I love about The Desire Map is that it provides a framework for doing just that, by yourself or in a group, as a beginner or a seasoned self-help student. That flexibility is gold.
