Q & A
Q: What are your Core Desired Feelings?
Open, Loving, Kind, Calm, Ease, Abundance, Connection, Alive
Q: How / where did you Desire Map? What did you love about doing it that way?
I first Desire Mapped in my home over time given promptings from Danielle's e-mails. I then invested in the book and read it in the beautiful surroundings of Freemont Indian State Park in Utah - see profile pic. I did it more formally the 3rd time around when I went through a virtual Desire Map Workshop for licensees facilitated by the wonderful Lianne Raymond. Every time I learn something new and different and my Core Desired feelings keep on evolving as I do.
Q: Tell me a specific story about how knowing your CDFs has changed your life.
I've learn't over time that we are in control of how we react to anything that happens to us but it wasn't until understanding the concept behind core desired feelings that I knew how to not only recognize my reaction but then do something about it to re-frame that reaction if it wasn't the way I wanted to feel.
My first experience with this was in my corporate job. I was incredibly angry and emotionally upset over a decision that had been made and I didn't like how I was feeling. In that moment I was able to say "How do you want to feel?" A few of my core desired feelings of Open, Loving, Calm popped into my head. I was able to breathe into being CALM and then OPEN up to some of the reasons as to why this decision was made. From there I determined I was going to CONNECT more with the process and perhaps even change the outcome when this decision came up for review the next year. This all happened in a matter of minutes and made the difference between being angry, upset and unproductive all day long to a day of feeling ALIVE, LOVE and EASE.
Q: Why are you passionate about sharing this work with others?
Knowing your core desired feelings allows you to live your life the way you want to live regardless of your circumstances or surroundings. Who wouldn't want that? And why would we want to deny anyone the opportunity to do that?
